I typically write in past tense deep POV (ish), meaning my 'narration' is focused on expressing Arseni's internal thoughts in the way he thinks them. This means a lot of things in the narration aren't necessarily true—don't take it as gospel or an assertion from me. In particular he's quick to incorrectly assume that people think very highly of him and his ideas. I write with the faith that you will understand my intent, or if not, ask me to clarify.
Arseni is an homage Arsène Lupin, and inspired by similar crime novels. I write him with 1900s style conventions as I like the strong character voice it gives him, but since I write deep POV it means this voice bleeds into the narration itself.
My goal isn't to obfuscate the literal happenings of the RP, but to explore his character more thoroughly. I RP to develop characters, and it's much more interesting to me to use whatever is happening to get into his mind. To this end I really like character driven RP! I'm very interested in finding new dynamics for him or following specific character ideas.
Mature themes are fine, and I think those into mature themes will have a much better time with him than those who aren't. He's intentionally a very unpleasant person to interact with, and characters that just want to hang out will likely have a tough time around him (not that that's unwelcome).

For the moment I'm going to say no to in-game RP! My background is in forum RP and it's been a while since I've found a RP community I mesh with, so I'm rather rusty. I'm not good at snappy responses as I like to mull over what Arseni feels and the direction I want to push things. I'm not picky about where though, I can do Discord or anything else.
I can and enjoy to write a lot, but I will generally try to match length. To me the writing is the point of the RP and not just the means, so I do write prose like how I would for a story. I'm here to get silly with it!! I'm not particular about formatting or convention or anything, if we can have fun thats good enough for me.
I try to respond at least once a day, but don't expect anything super fast.

Humble old man yaoi enjoyer and detective fiction obsessor. FFXIV is my first MMO—my gaming background is mostly in visual novels and I'm a long time anime fan. I'm also big on Edwardian fashion and culture, and in particular know a lot about the Belle Époque. I love crime fiction from this time period, if you know any please share!!
I'm still (relatively, this game is harrowingly long) new to FFXIV. Currently I'm at the end of base game ARR & going into the second half. I don't really care about learning things like area lore before I get there, but I would like to avoid main story spoilers.
