When he was exiled, Viera were hard to come across outside of their clans. Taking a city name hadn't occured to him, and he doesn't feel a need to change it now.
I'm not particular about this. Whatever you consider 'middle-aged' for a Viera is fine.
He avoids thinking about his identity, fearing the emotions it'd dig up.
Wandering Aristocrat (unemployed)
He only 'works' when he finds something he wants out of his reach. His targets are exclusively items of artistic or historical worth, and he operates as fantastically as he can manage.
At first glance Arseni is friendly and full of good cheer, but it doesn't take long to uncover a mischeviousness about him. A hedonist by nature, he finds pleasure in talking whatever poor fellow has crossed his path in circles. He lies as easily as he breathes, mixing half-truths with obvious falsehoods, making him hard for most to pick apart. Because of this, it's nigh impossible to get anything from him without first catching his attention. Yet flattery makes him swoon like a maiden, and he's always eager to learn and divulge information about the arts—making him a much easier target of suggestion than he'd like.
Despite his amenable facing in most situations, Arseni has a strong moral code and strong opinons about it. His mood is quick to sour when faced with things he doesn't agree with, and he's known to lecture complete strangers. His years have given him a sense of superiority, and there are few he respects in any manner.
He grew up in a typical Veena village, being trained as a wood-warder when he was of age. Despite struggling to pick up many of the skills, he was the only kit in his group to survive the coming winters, disillusioning him to the life ahead. As time went on, he grew more and more curious about the daintily crafted items the women wore and traded, leading him to sneak into the village one night for a closer look. He was quickly discovered and immediately exiled, never to return.
